Why has support for Minecraft Java ended? Will it ever?

I have done a tiny chat with a developer of Minecraft, they said well indeed the support for Java will end soon and much work would be focused on the development of Bedrock.

Havenu2019t you already noticed that now the Classic Minecraft (Java) has been changed from just Minecraft to Minecraft followed by Java Edition?

This was quite a while back, but yes Java Edition is not considered the u201cClassic Classicu201d now. Instead our friend, Minecraft Bedrock edition has gotten the crown:

Java is becoming left in the past, just like how Legacy Editions of the game are being forgotten and updates ceasing to exist.

You see Java still is using some quite old assets to run the game, like running the game inside without a defined engine which causes quite a bit of input lag and also will show great performance bottlenecking.

Bedrock is considered much more superior to Java, even if many people hate it. It runs straight on the useru2019s computer; real engine. In turn, this helps utilize the computeru2019s resources at the max, while Java is just utilizing those CPU resources and waste it.

Another big clue is to look at how many things are added besides the main staple of updates? Bedrock is getting custom player emotes and animated skins! Java cannot handle that.

Bedrock is becoming much more superior because of how it is optimized in a way that Java can never meet. If Notch had written something different, Java mightu2019ve stayed forever.

One day you will open the Minecraft Launcher for Java Edition and find a message similar to this:

But it will just say u201cMinecraftu201d

I hope this day will never come, but it must in order to make way for a much-modernized version of Minecraft itself. It will make the game much more optimized and able to keep up with modern gameu2019s expectational performance.
