The game, which was released in 2009, is the very first game to be released by developer Markus Persson and Jens Bergensten. From 2009 to the present, the game has gained great popularity among young people, the Java Edition version was developed in the pure Java programming language. There are currently two versions of the game, Java Edition and Bedrock Edition.
