No.

Although they are similar in some ways (such as chat and multiplayer), there are a lot of things that make them different.

Art Style

This is self-explanatory.

Take a look at Robloxu2019s game graphics:

(I know, it's a cringe pic)

And Minecraft:

Can you tell the difference?

Currency

Roblox and Minecraft both have an in-game currency that can be used to purchase items. However, Robloxu2019s currency (called u2018Robuxu2019) has more versatility than Minecraftu2019s currency (Minecoins).

Minecoins can be used to buy skins, texture packs and maps and made by the community. Robux, on the other hand, can be used to buy games made by coders on the platform, purchase clothing, items in-game and private servers.

Gameplay

Minecraft and Roblox are 2 different games.

Minecraft is a sandbox game, with an infinite amount of exploring. There are villages to pillage, dragons to slay and buildings to be built. Users can create beautiful structures, or, for the more u2018killing and explodingu2019 type, countless mobs are waiting to be discovered.

On the other hand, Roblox is enjoyable because users can make games over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. The fun in Roblox is based on the quality of the games that are made. Needless to say, there are a lot of fun games in Roblox of any game genre. Roleplay, FPS, Sport, you name it.

Minecraft and Roblox are different in ways, but still enjoyable and both are one of the most played games globally.
