Terracotta Expansion

Have you ever wonder, a type of add-on that bring awesome things to Minecraft with vanilla style?

 Here it is, Terracotta Expansion. An expansion type of add-on that focusing on biomes, mobs, and features addition. Gather up your resources and travel to a new biomes, feed some new animals, and play with them. I’m very happy to introduce you some of the new stuff that are in this add-on

Biomes

Badlands

No food on badlands? , you can now find some grapevines in the badlands biome.
Bald Cypress Swamp

It’s not a new biome, instead its bald cypress trees that scattered across the biome.
Cherry Blossom Grove

Cherry blossom grove is a small group of cherry blossom trees that scattered across the biome.
Maple Forest

From falling leaf to maple trees, this is a maple forest. It’s a biome full of varieties trees. The trees include maple tree and small amount of oak/birch tree.
Savanna

You can encounter some termites and termite mounts in the savanna biome. Other things such as elephant and hyena do spawn in there too. There are also grapevines that you can harvest.

Trees

Bald Cypress tree
Bald cypress tree normally work like vanilla trees do, except the leaves don’t decay due to limitation. It has hanging bald cypress leaves that you can break. There’s a chance it will drop some (wheat) seeds. Bald cypress tree has bald cypress log knee that you can craft into bald cypress planks.
Cherry Blossom Tree
Cherry blossom tree normally work like vanilla trees do, except the leaves don’t decay due to limitation. It has hanging cherry blossom leaves that you can craft to cherry blossom tea. You can also craft cherry blossom petals pile with cherry blossom leaves.
Grapevines
Grapevines normally work like vanilla trees do, except the leaves don’t decay due to limitation. It doesn’t have any new log. Grapevines work like jungle tree, except the grapes come from the leaves. You can bone meal both grape leaves and grapes to make it grow faster. It has 6 growth stages.
Maple Trees
Maple tree have four variations, there are green, yellow, orange, and red maple tree. They normally work like vanilla trees do, except the leaves don’t decay due to limitation. Maple log can be stripped using an axe, there’s a chance where stripped maple log drip some maple sap that you can collect with glass bottle.

Animals

Agouti
Agoutis can be found in caves from Y22 to Y63. They love to eat leaves, termite, grapes, and cherry. They also love to raid some crops nearby. Agoutis scared of red panda, they will run away from them.
Bass
Bass can be found in the river and swamp biomes. They like to swim around. You can cook bass into “cooked bass” for you to eat.
Crocodile
Crocodiles can be found in the swamp biome. They are hostile mob, remember to bring some extra protection. They can be feed using frog leg. You can get crocodile scales by feeding baby crocodile. Crocodile scales can be used to craft crocodile scales leggings.
Deer
Deer can be found in the maple forest, taiga, snowy taiga, and cherry blossom grove. They can be feed using sweet berries, apple, or grapes. Deer that spawn in snow covered biome will change to reindeer. Deer will drop venison that you can cook for you to eat.
Elephant
Elephants can be found in the savanna biome. They are neutral mob, do not ever punch them. Elephant can be saddle, but sometimes they didn’t want to and will attack you. Elephant loves to eat termite mount, logs, leaves, and other things. You can put chest on them for extra inventory.
Frogs
Frogs can be found in the swamp biome. They can be feed using termite. They also love to attack nearby spider, termite, or cave spider. Frog will drop frog leg that you can cook for you to eat. Eating it raw will have a chance to give you poison effect.
Goose
Geese can be found in all biomes that habitable to them. They can be feed using wolffia. Goose have three personality, normal goose behavior, aggressive, and playful behavior. Try to give playful goose some bell.
Hyena
Hyenas can be found in the savanna and badlands biome. They are neutral mob. Hyenas can be feed using raw meat. Giving them raw meat will also give them roar ability that could frighten (stun for 5 seconds) nearby undead mobs. Holding a raw meat in front of hyena will make them attack you.
Red Panda
Red pandas can be found in the cherry blossom grove. They can be feed using bamboo, hanging cherry blossom leaves, cherry blossom leaves, and cherry. Tamed red panda will have a chance to dig nearby leaf/petals pile for item. The item that they dig is for you!
Termite
Termites can be found in the savanna biome. They can be feed using sawdust. Termites will eat some nearby logs or woods. You can get sawdust by searching them on nearby logs/woods that eaten by termites. Termite will drop termite (item version) that you can cook for you to eat.
Vulture
Vultures can be found in the badlands biome. They have 2 modes, parrot-like mode and phantom-like mode. Vulture loves to steal nearby items (dropped). They like to attack undead mobs and phantom. They also have a chance to eat phantom membrane.
Zombie Deer
Zombie deer can be found in the maple forest, taiga, snowy taiga, and cherry blossom grove at night. They are neutral mobs. They also like to attack nearby deer, some of them will transform into zombie deer.

Miscellaneous Blocks

Terracotta Shingles
Terracotta shingles can be craft using stained hardened clay in the stonecutter. Breaking with tools other than pickaxes will not drop the item (use wooden pickaxe or other pickaxes).
Terracotta Brick Blocks
Terracotta brick block can be craft using stained hardened clay in the crafting table or stonecutter. Breaking with tools other than pickaxes will not drop the item (use wooden pickaxe or other pickaxes).

Miscellaneous Items

Cattail Seeds
You can get cattail seeds by harvesting some cattails. Cattails with cattail fluffs on top indicate that it has reach its full growth. Cattail seeds can be craft into string.

Cattail Shoots
Cattail shoots came from cattails. You can get them by breaking cattail with shear. Cattail shoots can be cook for you to eat.
Cherry
You can get cherry from cherry blossom tree by breaking cherry blossom leaves. There’s a chance where cherry blossom leaves will cherry.
Cherry Blossom Tea
Cherry blossom in water bottle can be craft using 1 water bottle and 4 hanging cherry blossom leaves. It can cure you from weakness. To make it, craft cherry blossom in water bottle. Second, boil cherry blossom in water bottle in furnace and you just need to wait until it finish.
Crocodile Scales & Crocodile Scales Leggings
Crocodile will drop crocodiles scale when grow up. You can craft crocodile scales leggings from it. Wearing crocodile scales leggings will give you slowness and strength. Crocodile scales leggings can be repair using crocodiles scale with an anvil.

Goose Egg & Golden Goose Egg
Goose egg came from goose. It work the same as chicken. Goose egg can be cook into cooked goose egg for you to eat. There’s also golden goose egg that you can collect. Golden goose egg came from special goose, golden goose has a rare chance to spawn naturally or being born from normal goose. Golden goose will also disappear after a couple of minutes.
Grapes
Grapes came from grapevines. You can get them by harvesting some grapevines.
Hanging Cherry Blossom Leaves
Hanging cherry blossom leaves can be craft using cherry blossom leaves. You can also craft pink dye using hanging cherry blossom leaves. Other ways to get hanging cherry blossom leaves is to bone meal cherry blossom leaves.
Maple Sap & Maple Syrup
Maple sap came from maple log. As a said before, maple log can be stripped using an axe, there’s a chance where stripped maple log drip some maple sap that you can collect with glass bottle. Maple sap can be cook with furnace, with this method you can turn them into maple syrup. Drinking maple syrup can cure you from slowness effect.
Pancake with Maple Syrup
Pancake with maple syrup can be craft using 1 egg, 2 wheat, 1 milk bucket, and 1 maple syrup.

Wolffia
Wolffia can be used to feed goose. You can also bone meal wolffia.
